My husband and I started raising 10 egg-laying hens in 2020. However, we didn’t realize that chickens were actually banned in the city we live in. To save our chickens, I designed a logo and created a website petition and print collateral to share our story and raise awareness about the benefits of chickens. We attended city council meetings and left leave-behinds about our website, and gathered over 200 signatures in support of backyard chickens. After months of meetings, the council voted on new legislation that allows chickens within city limits!

This is a testament that good branding can raise awareness and unite a community to bring change to the cities you live in.
