The snake den is a self-imposed drawing challenge that incorporates my favorite animal to improve my illustration + design skills.

Ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated with reptiles and amphibians. I remember going to the library as a kid and checking out all the books with snakes in them. The various species, colors, shapes, and personalities fascinated me. I loved drawing them and incorporated them into so much of my art growing up. This series has been very comforting to my inner child, not only to be drawing more but also to bring these slithery little serpents to a more prominent place in my life.
