Welly Wedding Invitations

Personal Project // Invitation Design
Printing // Wilson Printing & Graphics Inc.,
Photography // Moon Valley Photography

My brother, Jacob, and sister-in-law, Morgan, asked me to design their wedding invitations for their August wedding. They wanted a design that reflected their carefree travel lifestyle. We landed on this simple and elegant set that matches their personality perfectly. They’re not showy or flashy people, and this uncoated cougar stock accentuated the design flawlessly. Morgan did an incredible job choosing the colors for their wedding. She let her bridesmaids pick out their own dress style so long as they were within the color palette. Their wedding was incredibly beautiful and so well thought out. One I will remember forever.

Kahn Wedding Invitations

Having just finished up my wedding invitations the year prior, my boss asked if I would be interested in designing the invitations for her son’s upcoming wedding. Of course, I was excited! After speaking with the couple, we determined they were looking for a full suite of wedding papers for their invitations. We landed on a pretty floral theme that matched their wedding colors. Their rehearsal dinner was being hosted at The Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, so we designed the invitation to resemble a concert ticket while still carrying the theme of the rest of the pieces.

Murphy Holiday Card 2020

Personal Project // Card Design
Invitation Printing // Moo

We’ve never sent out holiday cards before, but we had some holiday-themed pictures taken by our good friends and talented photographers, Austin + Shilo Creative. What better way to show them off than with a holiday card!? 2020 was the first year of Covid, so it was a nice way to reflect on the year and see how much we had to be grateful for, despite living through a pandemic.

I opted to go with Moo for printing because of their foil stamp and soft touch options. I don’t always love how dark the images tend to print, but I was pressed for time.

Designing my own wedding invitations was hands-down the best part of the whole wedding planning process. I hand-lettered our names for the invitations and was able to incorporate them into each piece. Greenery was a big part of our decorations, so I wrapped floral elements around the lettering for an intricate, elegant vibe. Plus, any great invitation is made better by adding silver foil.

S/O to Invisible Creature for the dragon stamps!

Everyone should have a photo book with their wedding photos. It’s the perfect piece to commemorate our day with the incredible pictures from Austin & Shilo Creative. We even included the speeches from our best man and maid of honor.

Beth Abraham Anniversary Invitations

Ohlmann Group // Art Direction + Design

Beth Abraham Synagogue was celebrating its 125th anniversary and needed an invitation for their black-tie gala, “Windows Through Time.” This design abstractly represents the synagogue’s beautiful stained glass windows. Print features include rich black Neenah paper, gold foil accents on the outside cover, and gold metallic ink throughout.
